Lent 2021

A selection of links and resources for our worship and our discipleship as journey through the ‘wilderness’ of lent and look towards the hope Easter brings.

Voices of the Witnesses

Reflective Evening Worship through Holy Week with Rev Dan and our area worship team.

We’ll be thinking together about the events of Holy Week from the lives of some of those who witnessed the events. Contact us for an invitation: bogfelwest@gmail.com

Palm Crosses

Why not make your own palm cross. Here is a guide, or perhaps grab some twigs and tie them together! The crowds grabbed what they could at the time to shout their voices of triumph, so we can too!

Easter Worship service

A downloadable Worship Service prepared by the Connexional team. A CD version of this will be circulated to those not online with the April mailing. Download Here

Easter SONrise

Join with Christians across the area to meet the rising sun and Celebrate the Risen Son.

The Big Church Sing is back!

At 4pm on Easter Sunday, you can be part of The Big Church Sing Easter Special and  raise your voices along with incredible Christian artists like Graham Kendrick, Noel Robinson, Celtic Worship and our very own National Methodist Choir. All performing to support All We Can’s work with people in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.

Join in as we re-tell the Easter story and celebrate resurrection together!

Lent Course 2021
Luke, the Doctor and writer, spends much of his gospel focusing on human life and relationships, and the wellbeing and flourishing of human life. In a time when we have spent almost a year living within restrictions of one sort or other, Luke’s focus on our physical and spiritual flourishing and wellbeing serves to encourage and strengthen us as we journey through lent.

Each of the 5 sessions will run twice, a morning and an evening each week, and all you will need is a Bible. Please dip in and out as you are able, or attend them all.

Sessions will be held on zoom, via the Together Channel. Please contact us on bogfelwest@gmail.com for details.

Working from Rest – daily
This resource for lent comes from LICC (London Institute for Contemporary Christianity). I rate their resources highly!

This 40-day prayer journey will help you explore the reasons for restlessness, God’s gift of rest, and how your work – in your job, your home, or your street – can flow from that place of rest and connection with him.
