Testimony Thursday: Dear God…

This week I share with you, not my words, but the prayerful words of a 5 year old girl who wanted to write a prayer yesterday morning. Working together, this is what she produced. #ProudDad

This 5 year old’s heart to say thank you to God made me realise how I have sometimes been distracted by other things that stop me from embracing and noticing all I have to be thankful to God for today.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

  1. Well done Rebecca and Dad! Thanks for the reminder that we have a lot to thank God for. As I have so much time I am really noticing flowers and especially trees as they change day by day. It is about giving thanks for little things that in our busyness we often miss.

  2. Beautiful. Thank you both. A great reminder to keep looking for what we can be thankful for in the midst of a worrying situation. I have just been out for a run enjoying the flowers in the gardens and the sounds of the birds before I switch into working from home mode. God bless.

  3. Rebekha is a star! I’m sitting here thinking of all the places we would normally go to on a Thursday, which is our usual outing together day. I was missing the trees in Sheffield Park, the bluebells in Slindon woods etc. But thank you Rebekha for making me look closer to home. We are so lucky to live in a nice place, to have a garden, to have the wisteria blossoming etc. And so I pray once more for those poor families stuck in city flats with nowhere to go and nothing to see to remind them of spring. You are right Rebekha to remind us once again to say ‘thank you, God’.

  4. What are the wonderful words! Thank you Rebekah, you are right, we should learn how to appreciated to what we’ve got from our heavenly father and to be positive and thankful.
Also thank you Rebekah for helping your Dad to organize all the mails, so can be delivered on time. Well Done!!
